Cento10AIR DISC is fitted with a disc brake, through-bolts and 160mm rotors. Fork and triangle are designed to provide a rather important span to the wheels: possibility to use up to 30mm tires.

The Cento10AIR DISC racing bike combines aerodynamic performance with an incredible control and braking capacity thanks to the hydraulic flat-mount brake disc. This bike will allow you to cycle fast in complete safety, in any weather condition. Aesthetically, the overall design is basically identical to the Cento10AIR bike, the version with traditional brake and direct mount caliper. By using the ALABARDA or STEMMA + BARRA system, the Cento10AIR DISC can offer full internal cable and sheath routing. This increases aerodynamic efficiency even further.

DISC BRAKES TECHNOLOGY
FULL INTEGRATION
The sophisticated design of the head tube, combined with the special shape of the bearings, makes it possible to slide inside the frame up to 3 sheaths. These 3 sheaths go inside the head tube thanks to Alabarda that houses inside them the gear and brake sheaths from the controls, guiding them, with the correct angle, inside the head tube. In case of electromechanical transmission, the bike will have no uncovered sheaths, giving Cento10AIR DISC an extreme aesthetic neatness.
FRONT IMPACT
One of the most important factors contributing to the Cento10AIR DISC project, is the aerodynamic synergy between the frame and components. The front fork outer tubes and the ones of the rear triangle are rather wide. This greater gap between the blade of the fork and the wheel greatly reduces the turbulence created by the air flowing through the fork / wheel, which have a different shape and are made of a different material. In comparison with the previous models, the front surface of the Cento10AIR DISC is greater by 2.86%, however the aerodynamic efficiency is improved by 8%.
AERODYNAMICS
Cento10AIR DISC is our high-end performing and aerodynamic bike. Similarly to the caliper model, the new Wilier bike Cento10AIR was developed according to the Naca-Low-Speed rules. These rules are aeronautically-derived algorithms that make it possible to size the tubes of the frame providing the maximum possible aerodynamic efficiency. An other important aerodynamic concept is combined with the NACA algorithms: the KAMM theory. Indeed all profiles have a truncated tail. This solution makes it possible to reduce the weight, increase the torsional stiffness, without affecting the aerodynamic efficiency of the tube itself.
BOTTOM BRACKET SHELL
In the Cento10AIR DISC we use a standard 86,5 x 41 press fit bb shell
ASYMMETRICAL TRIANGLE
The triangle is asymmetrical. The right arm is lowered to enable the passage of the chain and to counter the compression forced transmitted by the wheel on the right hand side of the triangle.

To build a great monocoque carbon frame, we look for the perfect balance of stiffness, comfort and responsiveness at the lightest possible weight. Carbon fiber is an ideal material for bicycle frames because of its qualities of elasticity, capacity to withstand stresses, and its strength-to-weight ratio. The higher the modulus, the stiffer the composite. On the other end of the spectrum, the lower the modulus, the more elastic it will be. In the construction of the Cento1 Superleggera, we implemented MR60H for stiffness in the critical stress areas where lateral stiffness equates to greater efficiency. Then we used T800H and T700SC, with more elastic characteristics, to ensure comfort and sure-footed handling. Each was used as minimally as possible once our demanding strength and durability standards were met, ensuring the lightest weight frame possible.
