GLOBAL AMBASSADORS
Those who experience cycling in its broader dimension with Wilier Triestina every day.
These are our ambassadors: truly passionate people, born to inspire.
Caroline Soubayroux
Between a career in investment banking, a family life spanning across various countries and a series of ultra-cycling races and bikepacking adventures, Caroline Soubayroux epitomises what it is to have a very busy and well-rounded life. Always looking for new challenges and ways to learn and better herself, she picked up cycling in 2017 after a running injury and never looked back. Having cycled 29000km around the world with her husband, she is now a world record holder with a goal to inspire everyone with a job and a family, and women in particular, to get out of their comfort zone and explore new horizons.
WIEBKE LÜHMANN
In preparing to become a triathlete, the last discipline Wiebke took up was cycling. But the experience had such an impact on her that in 2019, she embarked on her first expedition with nothing more than her bicycle and luggage. That trip became an adventure lasting seven months. First in South America, she cycled from Bogotá to Buenos Aires, pedalling eight thousand kilometres and crossing the Andes to ride from one ocean to another. Then, to complete her journey, in Europe she rode from Barcelona to her home in Freiburg, Germany. Every turn of the pedal was done in solitude: a woman, a bicycle, a road. Those seven months of all-female bikepacking are an accomplishment, a message and an encouragement.
LAURA GALLARDO GRÀCIA
Laura grew up on a bike, riding with her friends up in the mountains from the age of 8, building impossible features and taking pictures of the craziest jumps. Sports have always been a huge part of her life and defined who she is today.
Constantly looking for the next adventure, whether it’s a solo trip up the Annapurnas or a bikepacking ride in the Pyrenees, Laura is always hungry for travel. After 7 years of studying Sports Science and Performance and Racing in Cycling, Laura’s passion is to share her scientific knowledge and methodologies to help cyclists train for their best season. Her love for the sport and her passion for inclusivity makes her work towards encouraging people (especially women) to move forward and achieve their goals no matter how big or small they are.
DANIELE BENNATI
The fulfilment of a family tradition has become an extraordinary career peppered with achievements. Daniele Bennati has chalked up wins in stages of the top three stage races in the world and won on all the roads of Europe. He won the points classification in the Vuelta a España and in the Giro d'Italia, but the highlight of his career is his triumph on the Champs Elysees at the Tour de France in 2007. Today, his long string of triumphs has become an endless source of experiences to share as he continues riding on the road as Wilier Triestina Ambassador. An exciting career that continues in a new joint project.
Omar Di Felice
Ultracyclist par excellence. Capable of meeting any challenge in any climatic condition. In winter, he has cycled the west coast of Iceland, the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and ridden his mountain bike from Kathmandu to the first base camp on the Everest. In summer, he has crossed the Alps, from Muggia to Ventimiglia, climbing over 40,000 metres in under five days. Omar Di Felice enthusiastically seizes the challenges that every season has to offer, because he loves to test his limits in every circumstance and condition, in a sort of ceaseless exploration of himself.
ROBERTO BRAGOTTO
Photographic inspiration is his work. Wherever there are special mountain or ocean views to shoot or sporting exploits to immortalise, Roberto is there. He has the soul of a wanderer and wherever he goes, he never misses an opportunity for some fun on his bike, especially on the road. Roberto knows very well the area where Wilier Triestina was born, and he and his video camera are the best ambassadors of the region the company developed in. He is an ambassador who is very familiar with the faces, smells and stories that make up this unique adventure.
OMAR MARTINELLO
When spring comes around, he just can't resist taking off on his bike! This is how Omar Martinello began cycling, from a desire to bask in nature every day. In these past few years, he has put his dreams and passions first, taking on always new challenges, travelling and looking for adventures in the open air. She is forever the perfect companion, a bike that is able to turn his wishes into reality. He records his journeys every step of the way on his YouTube channel - Omero - transmitting his love for Nature by following the ever-recurring rhythms of the surroundings.
