Hailing from a brilliant 2024, marked by European titles, outstanding World Cup performances and national jerseys, the Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team is gearing up for the 2025 season with a revamped roster and a completely new brand identity.
The signing of Luca Braidot - Italian specialties champion, multiple XCO World Cup winner, and fourth place at the last Olympic Games and in the UCI world ranking - is the first big hit of the season. With his impressive streak of wins, Luca will not only be the team's leader in terms of results, but also a key guide for the growth of the younger athletes.
For 2025, the team has also signed up Juri Zanotti, vice-champion in the under-23 category of the XCO World Cup in 2021, and Ella MacPhee, a rising star in Women U23.
The current European XCO Elite Champion, Simone Avondetto, whose contract has just been renewed until the end of 2028, will once again serve as one of the team's top athletes. The team will be focusing particularly on the World Cup races, following the two podiums in 2024 at Haute-Savoie and Mont-Sainte-Anne.
After representing Denmark at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and winning the national XCO and XCC championships, Sofie Heby Pedersen is preparing for her second year in the Elite category, determined to continue along a steady path of growth.
Expectations in the U23 category remain very high, with Denmark’s national champion Gustav Pedersen striving to replicate his previous successes and Elian Paccagnella entering his second year in U23. The 19-year-old Italian is Italy’s reigning champion in this category and one of the best international prospects in off-road cycling.
All the team’s athletes will compete on Wilier Triestina’s top-of-the-line mountain bike: the fully suspended Urta Max SLR, featuring a special livery dedicated to the team.
